Heat transfer and erosion evaluation of the fire refractory material in actual plant conditions were carried out, and the fire refractory material laminated structure which controls MCCI was examined. In HP-ABWR, even if water supply is performed after debris fall, MCCI can be prevented by lamination of ZrO2 and Al2O3 fire refractory material. On the other hand, in Mark-II, in order to mitigate MCCI, it is desirable to use together with measures, such as particle formation by the debris fall into water, with installation of a fire refractory material.
