[1G03] Particle Trajectory Optimization of PIG Negative-Ion Source in Electrostatic Tandem Accelerator

This work deals with experiments on beam-orbit correction and electrode cooling in a PIG ion source for the TCU tandem accelerator. We present preliminary results of experimental and numerical results, in connection with the performance improvement needed for future PIXE and materials irradiation experiments.
