To decarbonize, the government has announced a policy to shut down old inefficient coal-fired power plants. This paper reports on the following. (1) Support for this policy and acceptance of alternatives by nuclear power. (2) What kind of attitude is the acceptability related to? (3) Are the alternatives by renewable energy and the alternatives by nuclear power generation regarded as conflicting?
