[2E20] Review of Method for Estimating Most Probable Power Distribution in BWRs by Least Squres Method Using In-core Measurements (2)

*Hideo Ezure1 (1. Nippon Advanced Information Service)

Keywords:least squares method, measured value, diffusion equation, reactor core, power distribution

In the previous meeting, the comparative evaluation was presented of the estimation method of the most probable power distribution by the least squares method(LSM) with the inter-extrapolation, data assimilation technique etc. In this result the former LSM is more complicated and take more time to calculate than the latter. Because modern PCs are calculating faster and the solution of three-dimensional two group diffusion equation are making progress, it is attempted to improve an existing program. Therefore, it is considering (1) comparison of interest between new programming and existing one, (2) selection and validity of solution method of three dimensional diffusion equation, (3) programming language, compile etc. This time these summary will be presented.
