[2I16] Core Characteristics of Molten Chloride Salt Fast Reactor and its Dependency on Nuclear Data of Chlorine-35

Keywords:molten salt reactor, chloride salt, fast reactor, (n, p) reaction

Criticality, reactivity coefficients, and delayed neutron parameters were evaluated for a Molten chloride salt fast reactor by the Monte Carlo code SERPENT-2. It has been found from the results that the influence of the difference of the (n, p) cross-section of chlorine-35 on the nuclear characteristics is significantly large because the use of chloride salt makes the neutron spectrum quite hard.
