For evaluating an accuracy of a numerical simulation in the shielding design of the nuclear power plant, etc., an uncertainty estimation method for an analysis with a multi-layer structure is being examined based on the measurement data of the single-layer deep penetration experiments with neutron. At the first step, a nuclear data-induced uncertainty has been focused, which is one of the major uncertainty factors. This article reports about a feasibility of the Bayesian estimation method with the random sampling method for the nuclear data-induced uncertainty in a multi-layer deep-penetration experiment.
