In order to evaluate the Pb-210 deposition flux around Japan in detail, the atmospheric transport/deposition model for Rn-222 and its progenies was developed and improved. For the purpose of improving the reproducibility of the atmospheric transport model for the cases with complex terrains, this study takes Aomori, especially Rokkasho MURA, as the research target area, A 3km horizontal grid, which was three times finer resolution than the previous calculation was used to calculate Pb-210 deposition and precipitation. The calculation results showed that under the calculation conditions of a 3km grid, the terrain features and mountain elevation of the target area are well reproduced. At the same time, the monthly cumulative result of the calculated precipitation is better reproduced than the coarse grid. This indicates that the Pb210 deposition calculated by 3km has the possibility of better reproduction.
