[2M19] Evaluation of tritium concentration in vegetation by investigation of the experimental field

In Rokkasho , Aomori prefecture, a large scale reprocessing plant is expected to start operation in 2022, and tritium (³H) is thought to be discharged into the environment. In order to evaluate the migration of the ³H to crops, we established an experimental field and observed the concentration of ³H in plants, precipitation, and soil infiltration water.
