In order to improve the efficiency of the nuclear regulatory inspection system and the competence of inspectors, a questionnaire survey and an interview survey were conducted among the staff of the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) who are engaged in inspection work. As a result of the survey, it was revealed that the inspectors' understanding of the concept of the nuclear regulatory inspection system is widespread, while some areas for improvement were identified regarding the operation of the inspection system and the improvement of inspectors' competence. This paper proposes measures for continuous improvement of the inspection system based on the results of the survey and the opinions of experts.
