For deepening the understanding of the internal status of the fuel debris which has been formed through a Molten Core-Concrete Interaction (MCCI), we are currently analyzing the MCCI experiment “VULCANO VF-U1” with MPS method. In 2020, we reported that the characteristic corium distribution of the experiment, where some parts of metallic phase ware solidified along the concrete sidewall, could be explained by the interface tension between metallic/oxidic phases and the upward flow induced by the melting of concrete wall. In this study, we present the result of the improved analyses with additional considerations of corium stirring by the concrete-decomposition gas and the density decrease of the oxidic corium phase due to the mixing with the molten concrete phase.
