The Advanced Optimally-Weighted Predictor-Corrector (AOWPC) method was applied to SCOPE2, PWR core calculation code to reduce the discretization error of the burnup step for the burnup calculation involving the Gadolinia bearing fuel. The verification for both the two-dimensional assembly geometry and the three-dimensional core geometry was performed and it was confirmed that the discretization error of the burnup step was reduced for both calculations. It was also confirmed that the effect on the calculation time by the application of the AOWPC procedure is negligible. Appling the AOWPC method to SCOPE2, the speed-up of the core calculation with required calculation accuracy can be realized.
