Keywords:Gas-liquid two-phase flow, Pool scrubbing, Machine learning

In order to evaluate the effect of pool scrubbing on fission product removal, it is important to understand the gas-liquid two-phase flow behavior under complex conditions. At CRIEPI, we have been obtaining a number of highly precise two-phase flow test results using tools such as wire-mesh sensors. Based on these experimental results, we have started to develop a machine learning model to create a two-phase flow model that covers all conditions needed to evaluate pool scrubbing.
