In recent years, there has been a demand for a method for easily visualizing radiation in radiation cancer treatment. In our laboratory, we have developed his gel-like chemical dosimeter consisting of PVA and KI. Here, the PVA-KI gel turns red when irradiated with radiation. Here, the maximum absorbance is shown at 490 nm in the ultraviolet-visible absorption measurement. Currently, it is being investigated whether accurate dose measurement is possible in the absorbed dose range of less than 2 Gy for this gel dosimeter. In this study, we constructed a system to measure light absorption at the same time as X-ray irradiation, measured less than 2 Gy, and tried to clarify the characteristics of PVA-KI gel.
