Tritium is needed as initial fuel for ignition of fusion reactor. The tritium production method by loading Li rod into the HTGR as burnable poison was proposed. In past studies, it has been assumed that all Li rods loaded have same structure despite there are special distributions of reactor composition, temperature and neutron flux. Amount of produced tritium can be optimized by loading Li rods which has different structure considering fuel regions. Furthermore, changing of Li rod structure in each fuel regions is easier and leaked T also decreases by using high concentrated 6Li. In this work, the influence of amount of produced T by loading different structure Li rods into the HTTR was evaluated, and its parameter and placement which enable minimize leaked tritium and maximize produced tritium were considered.
