A pilot plant test of volume reduction process for fly ash generated in thermal treatment of off-site incineration residue is scheduled from this year. In the process, fly ash is washed and radio-cesium is eluted, the radio-cesium is selectively adsorbed by adsorbent and the used adsorbent is stabilized.
In this study, mass balance is calculated and the results are compared and investigated, when adsorbents and stabilization methods are varied.
