In a molten salt reactor analysis, a coupling calculation between neutronics and thermal-hydraulics is needed since fuel material moves in the core and primary loops. Thus, the core power distribution was calculated by a coupling method and the coupling effect was evaluated. Based on the temperature distribution obtained by RELAP5, the power distribution was calculated using the Monte Carlo code SERPENT2, considering fuel density distribution and doppler broadening of nuclei. As a result, it was found that the coupling calculation slightly moves the core power distribution toward the core bottom.
