To estimate radionuclide discharges from the river to the ocean more accurately, we improved the MERCURY model, which can estimate radionuclide discharge developed by JAEA, by incorporating methods of both parameters estimation using GIS data and parameters optimization. In this study, we introduce the examples of applying the model to the Fukushima case.
