[1J04] Speedup by Parallel Processing in a CFD Compressible Fluid Dynamics Simulation Code: BAROC for Safety Analysis of Containment Vessel and Reactor Building Under Severe Accident Conditions

We will report on our efforts to speed up the CFD compressible fluid dynamics simulation code BAROC for the reactor containment vessel and the reactor building by parallel processing. BAROC can analyze the three-dimensional thermal and flow of multi-component gas and FP aerosol in detail, and by applying the implicit method, relatively high-speed calculation is possible. To enable calculation in a practical time even in a large-scale analysis such as the entire reactor building, parallelization by MPI (Message Passing Interface) was implemented for matrix calculation, and computation time and efficiency were examined.
