[1J15] Study on Eutectic Melting Behavior of Control Rod Materials in Core Disruptive Accidents of Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactors
(31) Study of solidification pathway of SUS316L containing 9-11mass%B4C by in-situ observation and quench method with electromagnetic levitation
Keywords:Sodium-cooled fast reactor, Boron carbide, Stainless steel, Solidification pathway, In-situ observation
This is a fundamental study for considering the mechanism of the eutectic reaction of control rod materials in core disruptive accidents of sodium-cooled fast reactors. Electromagnetic levitation was used for in-situ observation of solidification and microstructural study of the quenched SUS316L containing 9-11mass%B4C. On the basis of the results, the solidification pathway is proposed.
