(11) Evaluation of grain boundary segregation in a simulated debris using AC-TEM

The distribution of Fe atoms in simulated fuel debris and the atomic structure of Fe clusters in the (U, Zr)O2 grain boundary layer were investigated by nano-scale analytical microscopy using a spherical aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy (AC-TEM) in order to contribute to estimation of temperature and oxygen atmosphere during fuel debris formation.
