Keywords:Uranium, Chromatography separation, TBP Resin

TBP is a widely used extractant, eg, finds application in the PUREX process, the reprocessing of U and Pu from spent fuel. Extraction of Uranium from other minor actinides through chromatography separation was performed in this study. TBP resin as a solid extractant under two different conditions, HCl and HNO 3. Gamma Ray was used to detect radioisotope elements and ICPMS was used to measure stable elements. As a result, Uranium was successfully extracted by using TBP resin in a high concentration of acid, since uranium has high affinity for TBP resin in a high concentration of Acid on the resin. In reverse, Trivalent elements have weak absorption on TBP in both systems.
