[2B08] Development of ultramicro analysis technology for fuel debris analysis
(16) Study of fuel debris stability for geological disposal - Behavior of (Fe, Ce)Ox and uranium oxide dissolution
Keywords:Simulated fuel debris, Dissolution rate, (Fe, Ce)Ox, Uranium oxide
Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS/MS) is expected as a method for efficiently and accurately analyzing fuel debris extracted from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The purpose of this study is to investigate the stability (leaching characteristics) of fuel debris in the process from storage to disposal by conducting static leaching tests and microchannel running water tests using simulated fuel debris. This report outlines the experimental results using simulated debris (Fe,Ce)Ox and uranium oxide samples.
