[2F02] Development of core design optimization process towards design efficiency and reduction of excessive conservativeness -Setting of representative problem and investigation of core design optimization process-
Keywords:Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor, Core Design, Neutronics Design Analysis, Plant Dynamics Analysis, Bayesian Optimization
To improve the effective core design and reduction of excessive conservativeness, JAEA has been developing the core design optimization process as the part of design optimization support tool, ARKADIA-Design. In this process, the core design analysis comprising of neutronics, thermal-hydraulics, fuel integrity, which were previously evaluated individually, and the plant dynamics were sequentially coupled, and also the Bayesian optimization (BO) was applied. This study shows the development plan to achieve the optimal process for representative problem about providing core design specifications with high core performance and inherent safety achieving prevention of core degradation in ULOF event, and the applicability of this process assuming the simple loop model.
