Water containing low concentrations of tritium in the environment, such as seawater, takes a lot of time to measure until it is detected by a liquid scintillation counter. Therefore, it is common to enrich tritiated water. A known tritium enrichment method for water is the alkaline electrolytic enrichment method, which concentrates tritium based on the difference in the decomposition rate of hydrogen-1 and tritium during electrolysis. Using this method, a system to simultaneously enrich 12 samples was fabricated, and the conditions of the system were investigated for a short time and high tritium enrichment efficiency. The results will be presented.
