[2I16] Investigation of usefulness of vertical integrated concentration of radioactive materials in the atmosphere for nuclear disaster prevention use
Keywords:FDNPP accident, atmospheric dispersion models, Emergency application
The Nuclear Emergency Response Guidelines state that atmospheric dispersion prediction should not be used in an emergency because the uncertainty of the calculation increases the risk of radiation exposure. The results of international model comparison tests showed that the error due to wet deposition was the largest. In this study, we examined the usefulness of vertically integrated concentrations of radioactive materials in the atmosphere for nuclear disaster prevention, which can reduce the uncertainty of wet deposition calculation in the deposition prediction.
