The purpose of this study is to establish a "common understanding" (direction to aim for, challenges to address, etc.) for the domestic nuclear power industry and the digital industry to actively introduce digital technology to domestic nuclear power plants in the future. As a result of domestic and international literature research, power plant needs research (based on publicly available information), and discussions in the study group, the following major issues were identified as the main challenges for the introduction of digital technology to nuclear power plants: building big data, upgrading cyber security, establishing AI (artificial intelligence)/ML (machine learning) reliability assessment methods, securing human resources, and increasing motivation.
