A real-time neutron detector for the boron neutron capture therapy has been developed to measure neutron generated by irradiating proton beam to a Li target. Neutron beam are dependent on intensities proton beams. Neutrons were measured by detecting triton produced by the 6Li(n,t)4He reaction. Because Si diodes are sensitive to neutron, a long-term operation should be evaluated for a life time of beam monitor. The neutron beam was monitored for approximating 1.5months. The experiments results indicates that neutron count rates are in good correlation with method neutron beam fluxes measured with gold-activation, and showed this monitor can be used in the long term. The beam monitor enables to measure the BNCT neutron beam in a real time for long term.
