To proceed with the decommissioning work, it is required to visualize the distribution of radioactive substances inside the reactor building using a gamma camera and remove them in areas of high dose rate regions. This research aims to improve the applicability of the gamma camera which can go through the narrow areas by changing its shape to higher dose rate regions. By introducing smaller scintillators (4 mm square GAGG) and modifying software for data I/O without a COM port, the applicable dose rate is expected to be improved to about 370 μSv/h. At present, the decrease of the gain of the Si photomultipliers have been the problem, which we will try to overcome through hardware or software modification.
