[3I09] Residents’ Attitudes towards Shelter-in-place: The Case of Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture

A questionnaire survey was conducted to residents (N=408) living in Urgent Protective action planning Zone (UPZ) to investigate the relationship between residents’ attitudes towards disaster preparedness and behavioral intention in case of a nuclear emergency. In this presentation, we illustrate the findings of our survey regarding the anxiety of disasters and behavioral intention with a focus on shelter-in-place.
