[3N02] Preliminary experiment for verification of thermal neutron scattering law data

We have performed the preliminary experiments with a new method to verify the thermal neutron scattering law of hydride moderator.
In preliminary experiments, pulsed neutron beam from KURNS-LINAC was irradiated at light water moderator and time-distribution of capture gamma-rays from hydrogen was observed. By comparing the experimental result with the calculated one, we are able to verify the thermal neutron scattering law data used in the calculation.
