[3I06] Photochemical Synthesis of Uranyl(VI)-Peroxo Complexes with Bis(phosphine oxide) Linker Ligands
Keywords:Coordination chemistry, Uranyl(VI) ion, Peroxo complex, Photoreactivity
To intentionally obtain dinuclear uranyl(VI)-peroxo complexes through photochemically induced activation of O2, we attempted to control the coordination structure around UO22+ by introducing linker-type bis(phosphine oxide) ligand. As a result, the uranyl(VI)-peroxo complexes were successfully synthesized, when dppeO ligand with an ethylene group was used. We have also confirmed that these uranyl(VI)-peroxo complexes are stably present in acetonitrile solution.
