We have been developing a flow injection analysis system that combines separation by solvent extraction and a liquid scintillation detector in a carrier solution flowing in a tube with an inner diameter of about 2 mm for the purpose of rapid analysis of alpha nuclides such as Pu in fuel debris. In this presentation, we report the results of an on-line phase separation test into an organic phase and an aqueous phase after solvent extraction, and an on-line mixing test of a liquid scintillator and a sample.
