In a flow injection analysis (FIA) system, Pu is separated from FP, Am, and Cm by on-line solvent extraction prior to the determination of alpha nuclides by a liquid scintillation detector. In this presentation, optimum extraction solvent for the separation of Pu was selected for this FIA system and Pu extraction rate in the on-line solvent extraction was evaluated.
