プルトニウム(Pu)やマイナーアクチノイド(MA)を添加したパイロクロア型ジルコニウム酸化物は、アクチノイド添加率の高いワンススルー方式のイナートマトリックス燃料として開発されてきた。また、燃料を使用した後、化学的に安定なセラミック固化体としても直接処分することが可能であるとして期待されている。本研究では、ウラン、またはPu及びMAの代替物質としてネオジムやセリウムの添加率を変化させたジルコニウム酸化物を合成し、それらの結晶構造及び熱的性質について評価した。
