[1F07] A monitoring system of lasers for two-color resonance ionization

Decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant is currently progressed. Understanding the properties of fuel debris is very important in decommissioning process. The laser resonance ionization sputtered neutral mass spectrometry (R-SNMS) developed by us can be obtained elemental imaging and isotope ratio of small particles without the isobaric interference by the resonance ionization phenomenon. The intensity and irradiation timing of the laser for resonance ionization have a significant effect on isotope ionization. In this presentation, we have developed a system to monitor the operating conditions of the lasers by measuring their energy and timing jitter.
