[1F13] Assessment of dust dispersion data for future safety analysis of Fukushima Daiichi fuel debris retrieval
(8) Comparison of dust dispersion behaviors during cutting cold simulants with disk cutter, chisel, core boring and laser
Keywords:Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, Fuel debris retrieval, Dust dispersion behavior, Disk cutter, Chisel, Core boring, Laser
For the future safety analysis during the fuel debris retrieval at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, assessment of the dust dispersion data during cutting cold simulants with disk cutter, chisel, core boring, and laser are in progress. Based on the results of parameter survey tests conducted by each cutting method under dry conditions, cutting tests by these four methods were conducted using a same detailed data acquisition system with an additional dispersed particle measurement device. The dust dispersion behaviors obtained in these tests and the results of comparison among these cutting methods will be reported.
