From the viewpoint of efficiently establishing the technological base of sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR) by utilizing the France-Japanese cooperation, a pool type reactor with common specifications, which is a concept of Tank-type SFR with 600 MW class output, is being studied. The pool type reactor with common specifications assumes mechanical energy release during core collapse accident (CDA). This paper presents structural response analyses of the behavior of hot pool sodium and cover gas and the deformation of structures such as the main vessel in a system simulating bubble release from the core to the hot pool, and an overview of the results of the evaluation of the impact resistance of the main vessel, intermediate heat exchangers (IHXs) and so on.
