[1I16] Design of pulsed electron microscopy using a superconducting RF gun

We proposed an ultrafast electron microscopy (UEM) with a combination of radiofrequency (RF) acceleration technology to observe ultrafast structural dynamics in materials and have developed a first prototype relativistic UEM using a normal S-band RF gun. Recently, we are going to design an innovative UEM with a superconducting RF gun to increase the beam current and to improve the energy stability of electron pulses. In this meeting, the design of the superconducting RF gun and the results of the beam simulation will be reported.
