When handling radioactive materials such as in decontamination work, radiation control and exposure reduction measures are required for workers. However, until now, it has been difficult to take effective countermeasures against radiation exposure according to the work environment and work content, because the radiation dose has been managed only by the daily exposure dose. Therefore, in a previous study, we developed a system in which dosimeters are linked to smart phones so that dose and location information can be grasped in real time. In a subsequent study, we developed a dosimeter that enables wireless communication of exposure doses, dose display on a smartwatch, and large battery capacity to solve the wired connection problem and improve usability. In the future, the dosimeter is expected to be applied to detailed exposure control for workers by making it more compact and lightweight.
