[1L05] Tritium continuous recovery from Liquid Lithium-Lead droplets -2
High extraction efficiency analysis
Keywords:Lithium-lead, tritium, droplet, extraction efficiency
We study tritium recovery from liquid lithium-lead (LiPb) droplets in a vacuum. At 2023 AESJ Spring session, reported the obtained extraction efficiency of 0.6 - 0.7. Obtained dispersion coefficient accorded with the previous 2013 campaign results. Based on these background, a campaign with nozzle diameter of 1.2mm x 4 was performed. The obtained results were higher than 0.9, large leap than theoretically expected value. By observation, liquid LiPb was not emitted from some of nozzle holes. These blank nozzles were kept in a vacuum. This phenomenon, though it is pure hydro-dynamic phenomenon, has a probability to contribute the enhancement of extraction efficiency. Additional verifications are scheduled, and results are to be presented.
