In the peaceful use of nuclear energy, it is important to consider Nuclear Safety, Safeguards, and Nuclear Security. Nuclear security considerations for offshore floating nuclear power plants have been conducted in the past at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and are also being considered in Japan. In 2021, the contents related to nuclear security were also studied within this project, and in 2022, a more detailed study was conducted on the specifics of countermeasures against threats posed by terrorist organizations.
