[2A12] Dispersed Barrier Hardening Modeling on He Bubbles in Iron-Based Alloys
Keywords:dispersed barrier hardening, helium implantation, helium bubbles
Pure Fe and Fe-0.3 wt.% Si alloy were irradiated by 160 keV He+ ions at 673K±2K up to the fluence of 1.9×1016cm-2 and 3.6 ×1016cm-2, respectively. Irradiation induced hardening in all specimens were observed using nanoindentation. Their microstructures were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high number densities of helium bubbles were measured in both Fe and Fe-0.3Si specimens irradiated up to 3.6 ×1016cm-2.
