We conducted the research on gas removal feature of X-type zeolite for the countermeasure of RuO4 release on the accident of a reprocessing facility. X-type zeolite, which was to be found with the potential for RuO4 removal in the previous studies, was investigate by the larger scale equipment than the previous studies. As the result, the capability of RuO4 removal was influenced by the co-existing nitric acid vapor, and nitric acid degraded the zeolite capability of RuO4 removal when nitric acid was too much comparing to zeolite.
