汚染水処理から発生する様々な廃棄物に対して、低温処理技術（セメント固化等）による固化処理プロセスの適用可能性を簡易に検査（スクリーニング）するため、混練後の流動性や硬化後の圧縮強度を推定する手法や、遠沈管を用いた固化体中の核種浸出性を評価する手法について検討した結果の一部を紹介する。
