[2E09] A geopolymer for solidification of radioactive waste

(11) A relationship between void and sorption partition coefficient of geopolymers

*Eiki ADACHI1, Nobuyuki SEKINE (1. Fuji electric)

Keywords:geopolymer, void, sorption partition coefficient

In the accelerated deterioration test of geopolymer by heating in hot water, the sorption partition coefficient of Sr (Kd) tended to increase with the increase the pore inside the geopolymer. This time, in order to verify the relationship between the void volume and Kd, void-varied-samples were prepared by adjusting the amount of water added when the geopolymer was made, and each Kd were evaluated. As a result, the correlation between the void rate and Kd is weak, but the increments are almost the same in the adjusted range of void. This indicates the possibility that Kd is proportional to the void rate.
