[2E_PL02] Case of Regulatory Requirements of Intermediate Depth Disposal
In radioactive waste management, efforts to ensure safety over very long periods of time are being made from a variety of perspectives. In this session, we will share ideas and efforts to ensure the safety of shallow land disposal, intermediate-depth disposal, geological disposal, and reactor operation. Next, through a panel discussion, the importance of clarifying each concept and methodology through ommunication will be discussed of ensuring the safety of reactor operation and waste management, also the usefulness of communication between regulators and operators regarding waste management, for example, a review from regulatory perspective of the results of radioactive waste management studies.
