Alkaline fusion method is considered to be a method that can efficiently dissolve nuclear fuel debris containing uranium-zirconium solid solutions from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The purpose of this study is to explore the dissolution behavior of simulated nuclear fuel debris in 6mol/L nitric acid and hydrochloric acid under the alkali fusion method. This report presents the experimental results using the simulated nuclear fuel debris with a molar ratio 0.65U, 0.10Zr, 0.10Fe, 0.05Gd, 0.05Nd and 0.05Si. The simulated nuclear fuel debris were sintered at 1350℃ for 10 mins with Ar and 5 percentage H2 condition.
