[2G04] Evaluation of Wall Condensation Heat Transfer in Three-Component Gases Including Light Gas
Keywords:Vertical flat plate, Wall condensation, Light gas, Diffusion coefficient, Condensation heat transfer coefficient, Natural convection
We investigated existing studies on wall condensation in three-component gases of steam, air, and hydrogen or helium. For the diffusion coefficient affecting the condensation heat transfer coefficient hc, we selected an equation expressed with a function of mole fractions of gas components and excluding the steam self-diffusion term, which gives a close value with the equation for steam and air mixture at the helium mole fraction of zero (XHe = 0). For the hc correlation for natural convection flows, it was confirmed that the difference among hc values computed by using existing correlations was large even for XHe = 0. Therefore, we made plan to evaluate hc from forced to natural convection flows by using CFD computations.
