[2G13] Heat transfer characteristics by natural convection in a one-side heated vertical rectangular channel

The purpose of this study is to develop a passive cooling system of HTGR. We have performed numerical analysis using one-side heated vertical rectangular channel. The analysis showed that when a thin metal wire was inserted near the heating surface, heat from the heating surface was effectively transferred to the thin metal wire, increasing the temperature rise and average flow velocity of the gas in the channel and increasing the removed heat.
