(8) Corrosion behavior of Ni-based alloys in molten chloride containing La and Ce

Corrosion tests of hastelloy-based alloys and Ni plated materials in molten NaCl-CaCl2 containing LaCl3 and CeCl3 were evaluated by a rapid diagnostic method combining electrochemical techniques. It was found that the corrosion resistance of Hastelloy N is outstanding, and that Ni plating on SUS304 has the effect of improving corrosion resistance.
